Imelda, a larger-than-life character inspired by the director’s paternal grandmother, lives in Gentilly where she strives to do as she pleases and exercise control over her family. However, this notorious widow says she is not at peace and has things to settle before celebrating her 100th birthday. Through 12 paintings marking her last years, Imelda faces a series of trials.
