Kamloops Film Society
Annual General Meeting
Wednesday, November 30, 2022

5:30 pm
Paramount Theatre, 503 Victoria Street

The Kamloops Film Society, which has been screening films in Kamloops since 1973, is holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, November 30th.

The KFS is proud to be one of the longest-serving arts organizations in Kamloops and, since taking over the operations of the Paramount Theatre, the Society is poised to continue its mission: to bring the best in independent, Canadian and foreign cinema to Kamloops and to promote and support filmmaking and related visual media in the Kamloops area. Through our Thursday Film Series, annual Kamloops Film Festival, Kamloops Independent Short Short Festival and focussed theme and genre mini festivals (such as September’s inaugural Indigenous Film Festival), the Society brings film lovers together to experience the best in cinema.

Community support for our mission is vital, and we have been fortunate to have a vibrant membership, ongoing support from the arts and culture sector, and the unwavering sponsorship of many businesses and non-profits in our region.

All members of the community are invited to the AGM to learn about both the Society’s activities over the past year and its plans for the future. In addition, KFS members have the opportunity to elect KFS Directors to serve on the 2022-2023 Board. If you haven’t taken out a membership (or haven’t renewed your membership), you can do so at the AGM.
