We are pleased to welcome representatives of the Rocky Mountain Rangers for a special presentation, and our Featured Non-Profit Kamloops Chinese Cultural Association (KCCA), particularly with their ties to this film, to our screening of Finding Fred Lee.

This is a FREE EVENT with the purchase of a film ticket.

Rocky Mountain Rangers

The Rocky Mountain Rangers is a Primary Reserve Unit within 39 Canadian Brigade Group (39 CBG) of the Canadian Army. The regimental HQ is located at JR Vicars Armoury in Kamloops. The Unit trains in both Kamloops and Prince George, BC and recruits from the local area.

The Unit recruits and trains reserve infantry soldiers to augment Canada’s military during Local, National and International deployments. The Rocky Mountain Rangers have a storied history dating back to 1908, and their members are proud to live, work and play in the community they serve.

 

FEATURED NON-PROFIT

Kamloops Chinese Cultural Association (KCCA)

The Association is a non-profit organization working to enhance the Chinese-Canadian community, contribute to the betterment of children, and to the society in which they live. They provide a University Scholarship, a Bursary Foundation Fund, and contribute to the City of Kamloops’ enhancement of the Kamloops Chinese Heritage Cemetery. The Association is a member of the Kamloops Multicultural Society and participates with the Kamloops Immigrant Services to promote diversity and good neighbour relationships.

Together with TRU, the Association welcomes Chinese international students and teachers, and helps to promote the Canadian way of life. They also support the University’s Chinese Students Association to help new arrivals to adjust.
